About the Course

Are you looking for an effective and engaging way to teach language and content? Look no further than our ERASMUS+ teacher training course on content-based learning.

During this 6-day course, delivered in Berlin, Amsterdam, Zagreb or Osijek, you'll learn the principles and practices of content-based instruction, and have the opportunity to design and implement your own content-based lessons. You'll also learn how to assess the effectiveness of these lessons and make adjustments as needed.

Content-based learning is an instructional approach that focuses on teaching language and content simultaneously. In this approach, the content of the subject matter is used as the basis for language instruction, with the goal of enabling learners to use the language to learn about a particular topic.

In content-based instruction, language is seen as a tool for learning, rather than the primary focus of instruction. This means that the language used in the classroom is authentic and meaningful, and is used for a specific purpose, such as understanding a text or participating in a discussion.

Content-based instruction typically involves the use of authentic materials, such as texts, videos, and audio recordings, that are related to the content being taught. These materials provide a rich source of language and content for learners to engage with and provide a basis for language instruction.

In content-based instruction, the teacher plays a crucial role in facilitating learning and providing support to learners, so this course is a perfect opportunity to brush up on your skills.
